Job Description

To start with, the position of Global Procurement Manager Business Services – IT and Consultancy, sits in Global Procurement Marketing and Business Services organization. And as a Global Procurement Manager Business Services you will be asked to focus on sourcing Information Technology (IT) and Consultancy services.  For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on the interpersonal skillset you have developed over the years. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

  • Develop robust global category sourcing strategies, lead execution and track benefits realization
  • Build effective relationships engaging with internal stakeholders across regions, functions and business units
  • Proactively manage supplier relationships and negotiate to deliver cost & cash results
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in IT procurement to drive innovation and competitive advantage
  • Oversee high level risk management activities for the respective category areas.
  • Ensure compliance to internal policies & procedures and has a deep understanding of and manage compliance to the Combined Business Model.
  • Builds longer term productivity pipelines in the categories to ensure a continuous delivery against Procurement productivity targets
  • Lead cross-functional teams on strategic projects and initiatives to drive operational excellence and business transformation

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced individual with a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role we feel it’s important for you to have level of seniority as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. We can give you a list of “must haves”, however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with procurement of IT and Business consultancy services, but ultimately we look at the bigger picture. To give you a bit of guidance as to what we see is needed in this role, here is our list:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in IT procurement roles in  multinational companies
  • An excellent track record of delivering “best in class cost and cash results” by leading complex procurement projects and cross functional teams
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of IT procurement processes, technologies, and market dynamics
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preference for candidates with a further degree / MBA
  • Fluency in English, additional languages a plus
