Job Description

In this Field Sales Specialist/Territory Manager role, we are looking for an experienced to capture business opportunities, maximise product exposure and forge strong business relationships to continue and improve company growth.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Managing a territory of retail customers / stores within the Southland/Otago Region (Oamaru – Stewart Island), developing, and implementing sales strategies to deliver AOP sales targets.
  • Utilising banner insights and store level data to conduct store performance reviews identifying opportunities for growth and agreeing action plans to implement.
  • Collaborate with grocery key account team to drive promotional and shopper activities at store and providing in-market feedback and insights.
  • Introducing new products into stores, co-ordinate launch calendars and ensure smooth distribution, driving MSL (Must Stock List).
  • Monitor and ensure shelf compliance while focusing on growing JDE share of shelf where appropriate.
  • Lead and manage a small team of Merchandisers and third party contractors

Qualifications

To be the best Field Sales Specialist/Territory Manager, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • 5 years’ experience as a sales rep, preferably in the South Island FMCG market with great existing relationships and the ability to build strong rapport quickly.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving targets and influencing key stakeholders with quality conversations.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to plan and prioritise an effective call cycle.
  • Great personality, energetic and positive approach with a ‘can-do’ mindset.  
  • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to follow through, building positive relationships with customers and cultivating positive views of JDE brands.
  • Suitable level of physical fitness to enable you to safely lift and move stock
  • A passion for all things coffee and tea!
  • Full clean driver’s license and the willingness to be on the road working independently.
  • Unrestricted Work Visa
