About the Job
As an R&D Pilot Plant Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the equipment in our Utrecht facility. Our Pilot Plant Team manages a variety of machines used for roasting, grinding, extraction, and packaging of coffee and dairy ingredients.
This is a real hands-on role – we need someone who not only executes tasks but thinks ahead, solves problems, and works independently.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of pilot plant machinery.
- Support R&D teams with your technical knowledge.
- Assist with prototype equipment building and technical solutions.
- Oversee external contractors during installation and maintenance work.

Qualifications
- MBO-level technical education in mechanics, electrical, or process technology.
- Experience in machine maintenance, preferably in food or consumer goods industries.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and process technology.
- Ability to work with workshop tools and machine shop equipment.
- Languages: English (fluent) and Dutch (strong preference)
- Independent and problem-solving mindset – we need someone who takes responsibility and gets the job done!
