Job Description

Join us as Global Sustainability Intern at our International Headquarters in Amsterdam, starting March 2025. In this internship, you will support our work championing Regenerative Agriculture and Nature as well as further refine our due diligence processes. All of this is done through hands-on support and working on our sustainability information  & knowledge management system.

 

Your key activities will be:

  • Conduct research and analysis to evaluate potential environmental and social risks and impacts associated with our company's activities, products, and suppliers.
  • Support the roll out of our Monitoring & Evaluation processes to collect and report on key performance indicators related to our nature and people goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain insights on human rights and sustainability performance and initiatives throughout the supply chain and convey findings effectively.
  • Participate in developing and implementing training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees, suppliers, and partners about sustainability topics.
  • Support in preparing sustainability reports, disclosures, and submissions, for internal and external audiences.
  • Support in the rollout of Supplier Due Diligence and Supplier Engagement Programme.
  • Collaborate in creating an information and knowledge management system to manage our sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

Are you bursting with fresh ideas and a hunger for learning? We want you!

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in the fields of sustainability, environmental studies, human rights, or international relations.
  • Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent speaking and written English proficiency. Having some experience with activities related to UN Guiding Principles, ILO Conventions, and Human Rights standards is always a benefit.
  • Personal traits: You have a passion for sustainability and human rights and strong research, analytical, and communication skills aimed at driving positive impact.
  • Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 6 months to this internship, preferably from March to August.
  • Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days a week.

  • Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
  • Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet's and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
  • You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
