Job Description

As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for the Commercial Key Accounts within JDE’s Away From Home market segment (B2B). Our customers are world leaders in Petrol, Hotels, Restaurants, Convenience and Education industry. You build strategic partnerships and search for the optimal product-market solution for the customer in order to commercialize the added value of our premium coffee and tea.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • You are responsible for the management and growth of the existing customer portfolio as well as the prospection of potential new customers in Belgium and Luxemburg. 
  • You are responsible for the full development of commercial proposals and detailed sales planning. 
  • You achieve the predetermined objectives regarding the revenue and the volumes by selling concepts/systems, ingredients and cross selling. 
  • Based on a critical analysis and interpretation of sales data, you identify strategies to optimize the profitability of the customer portfolio.
  • You cooperate with the marketing team to ensure the necessary visibility, the regional account manager team supports you in the field implementation and cooperation with the finance/operations team is also crucial. You facilitate internal communication and are responsible for follow-up.
  • You work your way quickly into the market and stay up to date on market trends, competitive developments and pricing strategies .

Qualifications

For the position of Key Account Manager Commercial, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

 

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree with a commercial focus
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as Key Account Manager. Preferably you have gained this experience in an FMCG/food environment and you have knowledge of commercial key accounts (petrol, hotels, restaurant chains, convenience and education).
  • You have experience in setting up sales and trade-marketing plans.
  • You have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Persuasiveness and negotiation skills are in your DNA.
  • You are a natural networker, both internally and externally you establish contacts and build relationships.  
  • You are a team player and are able to lead a project with multiple stakeholders from A to Z to a successful result.
  • You work independently and are result-driven, you have perseverance and take initiative. 
  • You have a growth mindset and continuously strive for growth opportunities for yourself, the team, JDE and the client.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and French with a very good knowledge of English.
  • You have a very good knowledge of MS office.
  • Driving license B
